On April 29, 2025 we conducted a workshop on cyberviolence and social media’s role in shaping youth views on gender stereotypes at the National High School in Finance and Business in Sofia, Bulgaria. It was attended by 29 students aged 15–18 and 6 teachers. The workshop aimed to raise awareness and encourage open dialogue about issues related to gender-based violence, cyberbullying, and the impact of social media on students’ perceptions.
The workshop was highly interactive – students actively participated in group exercises and inspiring discussions on stereotypes, social expectations, consequences of online violence as well as strategies for prevention and support. The workshop created a safe space for learning, reflection and honest conversation, inspiring students to think critically and advocate for a more respectful society!
In the next phase, we are moving into the pilot implementation of our educational package for school teachers focused on addressing and preventing cyberviolence.
