The University of Peradeniya hosted the Final Project Management Meeting of the ENACT project on November 21st 2024. This meeting brought together partners to review achievements, discuss implementation, and strategize for long-term sustainability and finalization of the project.
The event began with a welcome address by Prof. Anoma Abhayaratne, ENACT Coordinator at the University of Peradeniya, followed by remarks from Prof. Terrance Madhujith, Vice Chancellor of the University of Peradeniya. Both speakers emphasized ENACT’s role in fostering collaboration and building capacity within Sri Lankan universities. Representatives from the six Sri Lankan universities – Eastern University, University of Peradeniya, SLTC Research University, University of Moratuwa, Rajarata University, and University of Ruhuna – shared reports on their contributions to the project.

As the ENACT project nears its conclusion, partners are dedicated to driving governance reforms and empowering non-academic staff. The strategies developed through this initiative will leave a lasting impact on Sri Lanka’s higher education sector.
