The CO-HOST Third Project Meeting was held on 29-30 October 2024 in Guimaraes, Portugal. The project partners met in-person to report on the achieved objectives and current state of play across all work packages as well as to discuss the next steps. One of the accomplishments is the registration of 177 new participants on the MOOC platform, which has received positive feedback from participants from the Western Balkans. To enhance the training of participants, the team is planning a series of informative webinars covering topics, such as marketing strategies and sustainable tourism, which are expected to be launched in the coming months.
A key focus of the discussions was the planning of the first mobility workflow. The mobility will be implemented in early 2025, with 90 students and 12 teachers from the Western Balkans engaged in work-based learning experiences and job-shadowing. In preparation for the upcoming mobility programme, the team will organize a preliminary virtual meeting in December to introduce the mobility to students, teachers and host companies’ representatives.
The project partners continue their collaboration for strengthening VET initiatives in the EU and the Western Balkans, fostering cross-border learning and intercultural exchange. The project final conference is planned for December 2025 in Tirana, Albania, bringing together CO-HOST partners and international stakeholders to collaborate on advancing key sectors, such as the labour market, hospitality, sustainable tourism and VET.
