Concluding Multiplier Event for the project Access-IT: Innovation for Accessible Tourism in Natural and Rural Areas. Project No. 2019-1-PL01-KA202-065140 was organised on 16 June, 2022 in Hall Sofia at Hotel Grami, Sofia, Bulgaria.
The event was attended by various experts in tourism field, as well as by tourism business owners and representatives from national and regional associations, organisations and public institutions. During the conference was presented the project and its goals and objectives. After that were shared the results and achievements of the project including all materials and products that were developed. Participants shared very positive feedback for the video materials as well as the How-To Guidelines that cover 5 different areas of accessible tourism offers and their development. Special attention was given also to the self-assessment appraisal tool and its functionalities.
Additionally, the guest speaker Eleonora Yosifiva from BAAT (Bulgarian Association for Alternative Tourism) shared good practices in the field of accessible tourism in natural and rural areas. She also discussed and presented several advantages and challenges that tourism businesses commonly face while developing accessible tourism products and services.
The event finished with a discussion during which all attendees had the opportunity to share their opinions and make comments.
