Green Tour Kick-off meeting, Lisbon, Portugal

The kick-off meeting of the project “Green Tourism Education: Innovative Way to Develop Rural Areas” – Green Tour,  Project No 2016-1-HU01-KA202-022999 was held in Lisbon, Portugal on 05-06 December, 2016. The meeting gathered the project partners – five organizations from four European countries and allowed them to introduce themselves, their activities and experience. During the meeting the transferred project – NATUR was presented by the host partner AidLearn and further examination of all project activities and intellectual outputs was carried out.

Green Tour is developed within Erasmus + Programme, Key Action 2: Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices and is a 2-year project starting from November 2016 and ending in November 2018. The project is dedicated to the elaboration of an innovative educational tool that can promote green tourism, increase the number of tourism professionals, raise entrepreneur skills and foster the cooperation between businesses, institutions and tourism professionals.

 During the two-day meeting, partners had the opportunity to discuss the various project outputs in    depth. Discussion topics included the project’s quality and risk management, financial and    administrative requirements, a research framework, and principles for engagement of target group    members through local consultations-groups as well as parameters for an effective dissemination    and exploitation strategy of the project.

   The next meeting of the project partners will be hosted by Szent Istvan University in Hungary, April    2017, where progress and milestones achieved will be reviewed.
