Well-School-Tech Project Kick-off Meeting, Vilnius, Lithuania

The Kick-off meeting of Well-School-Tech project (2016-1-LT01-KA201-023171) took place in Vilnius, Lithuania, on 8-9th December 2016. The host of the meeting was the project coordinator – VIKO (University of Applied Sciences).

8 representatives of the five partner organizations from Lithuania, Italy, Bulgaria and Poland participated in the meeting and started their work on the project that will be carried out in the next 2 years.

The meeting started with a welcome speech by the Project manager Mikas Balkevicius who opened the working sessions and presented the activity of VIKO. Following him, each partner organization took the opportunity to present their work and experience and the team who will work on implementation of the planned project activities. After that, Mikas Balkevicius made a review of wellness, individualization and inclusion of education in secondary schools in Lithuania. Following his introduction each organization made a presentation about the State of art in their countries concerning the topic of the project.

In the afternoon the project partners discussed the management plan presented by the Italian partner Promimpresa Srl including main aspects as intellectual outputs, target groups, timetable for implementation of the project activities, responsible partners, communication, dissemination channels and valorization. As responsible for the Evaluation Activity of the project ECQ ltd. presented the Quality Assurance Plan of the project.

During the next day the participants continued discussing the financial matters related to project implementation and Mikas Balkevicius proposed Google Drive financial reporting system where partners can easily upload and operate with documents related to project implementation. At the end of the meeting forthcoming steps and certain deadlines for implementation of the next project activities were discussed and set as the partners signed a protocol concerning their commitment on the decisions taken.

The Kick-off meeting was a great and fruitful beginning of the project and the participants warmed up their partnership in a friendly atmosphere and spirit of enthusiasm and common understanding about project objectives.
