The first project meeting of the "Europeanisation - Organisational Maturity Assessment Tool for the Europeanisation of Educational Institutions" project took place in Berlin, Germany on 25.11.2014 – 28.11.2014. The meeting was hosted by the project coordinator emcra GmbH – a leading consulting and training company within the field of public, national and European funding in Germany. European Center for Quality Ltd. was represented jointly by two of its experts.

The main topics of the meeting were:

  • Introduction of the participants and interactive introduction of their organisations, discussions on their previous experience from similar project, as well as expectations of the new partnership;
  • Presentation of the project “Europeanisation” (summary of the project and its objectives, target groups, planned activities and expected outcome);
  • Discussion on the project management and the organization of the communication between the partnerships;
  • Planning in detail the tasks and responsibilities for the whole period of the project – clarifying responsibilities; setting up work groups; setting clear deadlines for the expected results and final deliverable of the project;  
  • Brainstorming session on Europeanisation of organisations;
  • Exchanging ideas and expectations about the content of the online self-assessment tool;
  • Administrative and financial issues;
  • Dissemination and Exploitation – expected actions and procedures

Europeanisation Project Summary:

The aim of the project is to develop an online-tool which will enable educational institutions within Europe to assess their degree of Europeanization. This tool is supposed to have an appealing design and be easy to use. On the one hand it will provide important information on what Europeanization is about. On the other hand, based on the respective assessment results, it will provide suggestions for next steps that need to be taken.
